At this very moment, delegates from 193 countries are in Nairobi, Kenya, discussing the possibility of a Global Plastics Treaty. Plastic waste is a global problem, and can only be solved through global agreement. That's where the Degens come in! Thanks to you, doxxed Trash Panda and Activist @thevonwong has created a 40-foot-tall giant trash installation in front of the United Nations Environmental Assembly! The sculpture is designed to force the issue and amplify the call for an end to our destructive relationship with plastic. Degenerate Trash Panda leads Pit and Viper funded the initial plan, which let Ben hire the Kenyan team and make this monumental project possible! But that was just phase one! We have a long way to go yet and we need your help! This fundraiser will cover all additional buildout expenses incurred during this process beyond the original donation. After these expenses are covered, 100% of the remaining $SOL raised will be donated to the Human Needs Project: an NGO helping to build the installation and which serves the residents of Kibera, Africa's largest urban slum. Kibera houses over 1,000,000 people in an area the size of Central Park, all of whom lack access to clean water and proper waste disposal -- including for plastic waste, which clogs and chokes Kibera's streets. For 1000 $SOL we can create 1000 jobs in Kibera, all focused on building waste-management infrastructure for this incredible community. Doxxed cryptoactivist Casson Trenor will be broadcasting plastic facts and campaign events as they happen. Follow @cassontrenor for updates! This fundraiser ends at midnight Nairobi time on March 3rd. The first 100 contributors of 1 SOL or more will receive an eco-warrior honor card, courtesy of @CryptoSchuster! Join us and be a part of the $SOLution!
